Bio
My name is Luke. I work as a composer and musician/multi-instrumentalist based in Washington, DC. Outside of writing and recording, I serve as a full-time barista at Blue Bottle Coffee and have previously served as an IT support professional (Helpdesk Manager) for 4-years in Boston, Massachusetts following my graduate studies in Music Composition at the University of South Carolina.
I love making music. Creating, expressing, emoting, impressing upon, and telling stories - in collaboration with others or by myself - those things motivate and give momentum to my musical and non-musical life.
Education: I earned my Bachelor of Music in Instrumental Music (brass emphasis) (2011), leading to earning my Masters degree in Music Composition under John Fitz Rogers at the University of South Carolina School of Music (2013), with additional mentorship (via a Graduate Assistantship) with Julie Hubbert.
