From Kristopher Carter about writing the music for Secret Origins (series premiere):

‘Building A Tower While Two Fell’

Very early on the morning of Sep. 11, 2001, I was working to complete the final cue of the third episode of "Justice League", the finale of the three-part premiere episode. After saving the Earth from alien invaders, the Justice League establishes their new headquarters on an orbiting space station, The Watchtower.

As I was trying to compose, I had the TV on in the background, watching the tragedy unfold in New York. I was terrified, and distraught, and moved, and somehow still had to find a way to complete the music for this uplifting scene.

Ultimately, it was watching the heroes who worked tirelessly and selflessly that inspired this theme.

On this 20th anniversary of September 11, I dedicate this piece in the honor of those heroes.
